As im-perfectionists, we’re always striving to do better, to be better. So we focus on progress, oftentimes not leaving room for life’s little surprises. And as we all know, life happens… often without warning. Sometimes we don’t need to add more to our plate, including self growth, sometimes we simply need to survive.
Wellness is not always about bettering ourselves, but about meeting yourself just where you are.
There are times in your life when all is well (we love these times!) and then there are the tough times (the “no way out but through” times). Today we’re talking about the latter because… life happens.

If you’re not honest with yourself → Numbing behaviors
taking it too far
denial
self soothing
holding yourself
acceptance
“Accidental manifestation” not real + toxic positivity + “I don’t want to be negative for people”
Permission + this is not time that it’s your responsibility to show up for other people
What to do to care for yourself during tough times
Don’t make starting new things/relationships a priority
We live in a paradox always, that is okay, we’re not always going to be 100%, be gentle with yourself
Every single day does not have to be a new PR, it’s about personal growth
Progress is not linear, honor where you are right now
