Mindfulness makes you smarter! Kind of. Science shows that when you practice mindfulness you’re actually building grey matter. You’re hard-wiring your brain to feel calmer, be less reactive, improve digestion, get better sleep, be happier, and become more engaged in what you’re doing.
Mindfulness practices increase the connections between the amygdala and prefrontal cortex. These parts of the brain help us be less reactive to stressors and to recover better & faster from stress when we experience it.
